Our Company

Focus Technology Group was established in 2001. It was created by several individuals with diverse backgrounds in the human, agricultural and animal health industries.

Collectively, these "sales/marketing/techno hybrids" had a vision for a different kind of information services provider. A customer-centric company that created value for manufacturers and distributors by converting raw sales data into business intelligence that sales and marketing teams could act on. Strategically. And tactically. A technology-based organization that focused on helping clients unleash innovative, data-driven initiatives that would enhance and sustain long-term customer relationships. An organization that measured its own success based on the results its clients achieved. FTG has offices in Atlanta and Nashville and is supported by a dedicated, creative, and hard working staff that is committed to helping our clients achieve success. FTG Leadership

Jimmy Haverstick, CEO

With an extensive history developing and utilizing web-based services for the animal health and pet industries, Jimmy Haverstick heads the Atlanta office of FTG and leads the company's sales and marketing efforts nationwide. Jimmy’s experience includes founding the first business-to-business pharmaceutical and supply management portal for the veterinarian industry. Jimmy was responsible for the design, business development and virtually all aspects of daily operations of the company. Jimmy has 16+ years experience in the animal health industry and has developed extensive experience in business development, integration and content management within the animal health supply chain. Jimmy’s experience includes service as a territory manager for The Butler Company.

Chris Glaser, COO

Chris is responsible for the operations and delivery of FTG offerings. Chris’ team will lead and deliver the implementation of the FTG offerings. Prior to helping start FTG at the beginning of 2001, Chris gained technology and operational experience in healthcare materials management and supply chain. Prior to FTG, Chris helped start and run an e-commerce company for Healthcare procurement called empactHealth.com (now Global Health Exchange). As one of the initial leaders of the company, Chris was responsible for developing and executing the operations plan, including leading the plan for managing item and vendor data files for the largest human healthcare provider, HCA. Chris holds an MBA degree from Tennessee Tech University and has extensive experience in customer support, employee training, information technology solution implementation and product definition.

Nick Streams, Vice President of Operations

Nick is responsible for guiding FTG’s strategic and tactical technology efforts. Before joining the FTG team, Nick was the Director of Product Development at Medibuy, Inc., where he managed the supply chain software development group for two flagship products, handling over $1B of EDI transactions at over 200+ hospitals for procurement of acute care supplies. Nick is a graduate of Vanderbilt University where he received a degree in computer science.

Phil Lawler, Vice President of Business Development

Phil heads the business development efforts of FTG and possesses nearly 20 years of experience in sales, marketing and management in the animal health industry. A graduate of Iowa State University, Phil brings expertise in business development, data-driven sales and marketing strategies, and management training. Immediately prior to joining the company, Phil founded Lawler Consulting and worked with various companies and organizations in the animal health and agricultural industries. He was formerly Director of Sales and Marketing at Neogen Corporation and also worked in marketing and sales for Fort Dodge Animal Health and Walco International/Holt Products. Phil and his family raise horses on their farm outside Lexington, KY.

Chuck Buie, Vice President of Sales

Chuck heads up our business development efforts in the crop protection and seed business. Chuck is a seasoned and well polished Ag Executive with over 16 years experience in Ag Communications, Media, Consulting, and Operations Management. Chuck was previously employed as International Sales Manager for Meister Media Worldwide, and more recently as National Accounts Director, and later, Business Unit Operating Manager for Farm Progress Companies, the US division of Fairfax Media, Australia. Chuck has also consulted on a 10,000 acre cotton, rice, corn and soybean farm in Mississippi and Arkansas for the past 9 years, and has experience in supply chain management.

Kirt Augustine

Kirk Augustine is an executive consultant with expertise in animal health manufacturing and distribution. His particular area of expertise is in the development of channel management strategies, including supplier relations, marketing and sales initiatives and customer-focused sales programs. Kirk's unique perspectives and management style have proven invaluable in demonstrating innovative and strategic approaches to creative problem solving. Kirk has championed many data management solutions as a critical component in reducing duplication among our channel strategies.

   
Larry Egger Larry Egger has nearly 30 years of progressive experience in Information Technology, spending 24 years with Hospital Corporation of America (HCA). From 1999 to 2009, Mr. Egger worked in the Strategy & Planning area of HCA, providing leadership in the application of advanced technologies and operational best practices that supported key HCA lines of business. In that capacity, Mr. Egger was instrumental in defining several significant technological and operational initiatives in the areas of Supply Chain Shared Services, Healthcare Group Purchasing Organization technologies, and Outpatient Services. Mr. Egger previously served as the Chair of the Health Industry Business Communications Council’s Board of Directors. Currently, Mr. Egger is an investor and partner in several small businesses in the software development and services industries.
   
Tim Unger Tim Unger, who also serves as President of First Consulting Infrastructure Services, is responsible for helping FTG develop its business relationships and in helping shape the company's overall direction. Prior to joining our board, Tim was responsible for health care information systems management for Columbia/HCA Healthcare Corp., serving in roles ranging assistant vice president for patient accounting to director of customer support for clinical systems to manager of development. Tim also served as the manager of development for Fort Collins, CO - based Poudre Valley Hospital, and as a financial systems engineer for Meditech.
